Comments:
This was our first visit.  We were not sure what to expect.

Tan Que is a Cuban inspired restaurant.  We found it to be comfortable and authentic.

Our waitress was very friendly and efficient.

We decided to have a 3 course meal.

Coco Locos:  (R35) These are Jalapeno Chillies stuffed with feta, battered and fried.  We were a little disappointed with the starter.  Although the presentation was interesting, the taste was not as good as expected.  Plus seemed a little on the expensive side for what you got.

Steak: (R80) 250grams - was covered in a very tasty basting.  It was very tender and tasty. We were very pleasantly surprised.

Dessert: Chocolate plate.  Again, very pleasantly surprised, as the dessert was pleasing to the eye and the tastebuds.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit will definitely go back.

CitiVouch - R46 - 10 Prawns, 250gram sirloin steak and rice or chips.

This was a great deal for sure.  We had no doubt the food would be good.  We were wrong.

Steak:  Supposed to be 250grams.  Definitely not the correct weight.  Half of the steak consisted of fat.  Requested medium.  Arrived well done.  It was very dry and tasteless.

Prawns: Overcooked and rubbery.  Top 5 bland.  Bottom 5 spicey.

Rice:  Bland

Salad: Dry - no dressing.

Service: Very disappointing.

See our Tan Que rant here.
