| This was our second visit to La Cuccina, although the first time we hadn't eaten there. They offer both a small set menu or a buffet style "pay per weight" option.
We went there for breakfast. Our cappuccino's arrived very quickly and were tasty enough. They were accompanied by a biscuit.
We went to investigate the buffet only to be rather confused by the concept. Some items were pay per weight, others were pay per item. Only problem is that you didn't know how much anything costs. When we asked the server, she didn't seem to understand what we meant. So we opted for the set menu.
The buffet consists of everything from yoghurt to pastries to sausage and flapjacks.
We decided to keep it simple and ordered the "Two and Two" which consisted of two fried/scrambled eggs and two slices of toast for R25.00. Only complaint is that both the fried and scrambled eggs were rather undercooked.
Service was friendly but quite average.
We found their prices on the expensive side, especially for what you get. |
