| I had been carrying around a R50 discount voucher for the Keg for quite a few months. (It was included in the Leon Schuster "Schuks Tshabalala" DVD). There are only 2 Kegs in the Cape Town area and not exactly anywhere close to where we usually go.
We happened to be in the Northern Suburbs and came across the Keg and Highlander by chance. It was a Sunday and they were offering a reasonably priced 2 course Sunday Lunch.
We ordered a plate of potato skins (pictured top left) for our starter. Not the best we've had but certainly not the worst. The main meal comprised of a piece of chicken, beef, roast potatoes, rice, creamed spinach and butternut. I can't say it was the most tasty Sunday lunch but was acceptable and good value for money. Dessert was a melted but tasty ice cream and chocolate sauce.
Service offered by our watron was friendly and efficient. |
