| Deli Delish is a restaurant/deli located close to the beach in Hout Bay.
Their menu is varied and includes everything from french toast to deli platters, pastas, etc.
This was our first visit to Deli Delish. We sat down at a table in the enclosed balcony section. We had to wait a significant amount of time before we were given a menu. We ordered cappuccinos which took more than 10 minutes to arrive. Our waitress then took our food order.
We ordered the french toast (without bacon) and a croissant which came with jam and cheese.
The cappuccinos were pleasant, but nothing to write home about.
The croissant came first. It arrived with no butter. The jam was served in a large jam bottle and did not come with a teaspoon/spoon. Using a sharp knife in the jam bottle turned into a messy experience.
The french toast arrived a while later. I noticed I had received bacon even though I had ordered the one without bacon. Admittedly, both the french toast and croissant was tasty.
The waitress seemed distracted and we found the service to be rather disappointing.
Prices are on the expensive side but it does have a nice fresh and relaxing atmosphere. |
